MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS
By Ron Hutchinson

SOUTH FLORIDA PREMIERE

This delightful fast-paced comedy takes audiences into the inner sanctum of 1939 Hollywood when movie mogul David O. Selznick shuts down production on his epic movie, Gone With The Wind, locking himself in his office with screenwriter Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming -- whom he dragged off The Wizard of Oz set -- to rewrite the screenplay of Margaret Mitchell's celebrated novel. Laugh out loud as three renowned icons of the film industry battle over what would soon become one of the greatest movies ever made.

"Frankly, my dear, this is one funny play... a rip-roaring farce... with witty, pointed dialogue and hilarious situations..."-NY Daily News

Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue by Quiara Alegría Hudes

At 18, Lance Corporal Elliot Ortiz crossed over into Iraq. At 19, he received a Purple Heart. Now, back from active duty, Elliot is anointed a hometown hero. As he comes to terms with his memories of war, he uncovers the military experiences of both his father and grandfather, discovering the delicate link that unites the Ruiz men across time.

"Elliot is that rare and rewarding thing: a theater work that succeeds on every level, while creating something new... Hudes combines a lyrical ear with a sophisticated sense of structure... She already possesses a confident and arresting voice... Without ever invoking current politics, this play manages to be deeply poetic, touching, and often funny indictment of the war in Iraq."
