The owner of the restaurant took her to the second floor, sat in front of
her, raised her hand with the palm facing me and started giving me, what I
learned later, is called Johrei. In a few
minutes I was feeling very much released. Every time I would feel sad I
would go back for more Johrei. Mara started

Jean Bonnen will be providing Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
EFT belief is that "the cause of all negative emotion is a disruption in
the bodies energy system". This is done by tuning in to the negative
feeling and tapping on specific acupressure points on the body while
maintaining focus on the problem. Over 80% of people using this
technique have reported achieving desired results. Stress, phobias,
addictions, smoking, depression, anger, weight problems, writers block,
procrastination, increased sales and relationship issues are just some
of the many issues which have been successfully treated with EFT. She
serves the South Dade / Homestead area. You may go to her office, or she

What is Acupuncture?
Needle or Laser (needle-less for those who hate, or are afraid of needles).
Acupuncture, one of the oldest form of medicine to man, has been around for thousands of years. It is used to stimulate specific
points in the body to restore normal function and energy balance. It can help ease suffering from side effects such as neuropathy,
diarrhea, headaches, sinuses problems, energy loss, intestinal problems, insomnia, and, best of all, improve the quality of your
life.
What is Reiki?
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words: Rei and Ki.
- Rei - means supernatural force or spiritual intelligence
- Ki - means life energy
Thus Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy.
Beneficial effects of Reiki:
1. Support the bodies natural ability to heal itself.
2. Vitalizes the body and soul.
3. Functions on all levels; mental, spiritual, physical and emotional.
4. Balances the body's energies.
5. Loosens up blocked energy and promotes a state of total relaxation.

Cranio-sacral Therapy
This is a "non-traditional" form of therapy based on the idea
that the cerebrospinal fluid pulsates in the dural spaces with a natural
rhythm. The therapists believe that blockages or disruptons in the
rhythm can cause many developmental problems. The therapy includes
massage of the skull bones and other parts of the neural axis to try to
relieve such blockages or disruptions. It is very gentle and
non-invasive.

VOLUNTEER NEUROLOGIST ON STAFF FOR CONSULTATIONS
• Dizziness • Headaches • Dementia • Confusion
• Seizures • Numbness • Pain • Weakness
• Neuropathy • Pain management
Paul Wand M.D. is a clinical neurologist in private practice in South
Florida since 1982. He has always had an active interest in research,
which he started as medical student, continued into residency and
ultimately into private practice. His clinical research interests
include newer and more effective methods of diagnosing and treating
neurological conditions.
In the past, he has worked extensively with brain injuries and chronic
pain. He has developed
protocols that effectively reverse neurological deficits. More recently,
He has developed a
multidisciplinary treatment approach to both chronic pain and peripheral
neuropathy, especially the diabetic type.
Much of his treatment consists of combining traditional methods with
alternative measures. Thus, the combined approach seems to be the most
effective in treating and even reversing what is classically felt to be
permanent damage to the central and peripheral nervous system.
Dr. Wand will be volunteering at The Center for Positive
Connections every Friday and will be available by appointment for our
clients. Call 305-891-2066.
